Georgia GOAL - Qualified Education Expense Tax Credit Program

We are excited to announce our new partnership with the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program (GOAL). As you may know, the state of Georgia offers a 100% income tax credit in exchange for contributions made to Student Scholarship Organizations (SSO's). This program is extremely important as these contributions provide financial aid for eligible students attending Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit.

Our school leadership recently conducted a thorough review of our implementation of this valuable Georgia Tax Credit Program and concluded that the time was right to make the switch from the GRACE Scholars program, administered by the Archdiocese of Atlanta, to Georgia GOAL. We are grateful to Archbishop Hartmeyer and everyone at GRACE Scholars for their commitment, love, and prayers that helped ensure the success of Cristo Rey in Atlanta. Thank you!

You will be hearing more about GOAL in the coming weeks and months. If you already participated in this program via GRACE in 2021, rest assured, your gift is secure and will continue to support our students.

Meanwhile, please take 20 seconds and follow the links below to submit your application to GOAL for a 2021 tax credit and/or pre-register for a 2022 tax credit starting July 1st!

For information or if you have any questions, please contact Carol English, Director of Advancement, at cenglish@cristoreyatlanta.org or (404) 637-2850.

All about Georgia GOAL

GOAL - the first Student Scholarship Organization formed in the state of Georgia – has consistently worked with its participating schools to raise the largest share of taxpayer contributions each year. (Though there are more than 30 Student Scholarship Organizations in the state, GOAL has raised nearly 40% of all contributions statewide since the program began.)

GOAL invests significantly in providing its partner schools with the tools, technology, and support necessary to compete for the popular tax credit dollars, as they are increasingly precious commodities, in very high demand.

GOAL has charged an average of less than 6% in administrative fees since inception, with its lowest ever rate of 4% in 2021.

GOAL is committed to transparency, efficiency, and advocacy in order to preserve and protect this important program in Georgia.
